I feel like I say this a lot, but Ruth is another fab female that I knew of through quite a few different people, before actually meeting her. To the extent that I thought she was a two or three different people, and I only connected the dots that she was HER, when sitting right in front of her.
Which isn't that surprising when you actually meet her; because she's so fab, and so bursting with talent, that it probably shouldn't fit inside one person... However, she's not a person, she's a woman ;-)
One thing I absolutely LOVE about doing this podcast, is hearing about the 'twist and turn' journeys most of the women have gone on. Very rarely has a journey been linear, which is a topic for future discussion (watch this space!), and Ruth was no different. As she said in the chat, she's moulded herself and her career to what she thought she should be doing; how she should be living; not really following her heart, or her gut... Until actually, pretty recently.
Thankfully she got there in the end, and of course, her journey is FAR from over. As I sat across from her, I couldn't help feeling that she's 100% on the start of her artistic journey - the start of her artistic career - and I am so excited to see where it goes.
In the meantime, I'm going to single-white female stalk her on socials, just to feel cool by association.
