Ooh I was chuffed when the sisters said yes to my podcast. Because yet again they were on my 'hit list' from the start.... Three women running a family farm (no men bar their nearly retired dad) = a mega 'women operating in a man's world' check!
And they didn't disappoint... They were/are amazing!
Not only have they all done amazing 'solo' things and had/have amazing solo careers, but they're on a mission to make their farm - Croft Farm - a beacon/a case study for how farming can work in the decades to come. Decades that will be without Government subsidies for financial propping.
In the chat we talk about all things farming; from more traditional farming to more eco 'regen' farming. Plus the changes that are coming in 2027, and with that a real mental health issue that probably like most of you, I was completely unaware of. We also talk quite a bit about the role of women in farming and how necessary it is for women to be a greater part of the conversation - ALL conversations - going forward.
Oh it was great, I loved it. They're amazing bad-ass women... Girl crushing (from me) was huge!
